Content Ingestion

You’ve got data coming from several different sources, in different formats, and you need it all harmonized and kept up-to-date. DataSQUID is the easiest way to do it.

SETTING UP A DATA INGESTION PROJECT IS
A SIMPLE 3 STEP PROCESS

1. For each of your sources, choose a data source type from CSV, XML, PDF, SQL, SOAP or REST. Then for each source specify how DataSQUID will access the data (hostname, account etc).

2.
Map the data to the target fields using the simple drag-and-drop interface.

3.
Set a rule when the data should be updated

… and the data will appear in your Microsoft SQL server database harmonized and ready to use.

Additional features useful for Data ingestion / Content ingestion

Data History

For each source of data, DataSQUID lets you switch the history on or off. If the history is switched on, DataSQUID  also stores a history of changes to each row which you can view in the Web GUI.

Logging

For every action performed, DataSQUID writes an entry in conveniently searchable log, showing number of new, changed and deleted rows

Alarming

You can set DataSQUID to send out an Email alarm, in case anything goes wrong, e.g. one of the data providers has not provided a file for more than 15 min
